Thank you, and all the service men and women, for your service.
And thanks to the Canadian military for always being next to us, along with the rest of our allies.

It was a pretty different day yesterday but still cool in a way It has been very warm the last week, and yesterday would of been a huge turnout to all the Memorials but Covoid shut that down still the service they had in Ottawa was nice, they had about 100 people there usually it is packed ( been there and it is so beautiful)
Not many vets from WW1 left up here, about 20,000 from WW2, same for Korea....and it was odd not seeing the usual faces. They always have the more "colorful, chatty" lads speak but they had pre taped interviews with alot of them
I also loved on both sides of the border Americans and Canadians doing drive by parades for the vets in tons of towns and cities.
It means the world to these guys. and people reaching out and caring about them in these crazy times was fantastic And they damn well have earned it.

Good stuff Jon. People who serve in the military deserve all the praise and respect in the world. It's easy to take our freedom for granted, but we have to remember that we only have our freedom because of the brave men and women who serve to defend our countries. They are the true heroes.
Hopefully by next year, things will be back to somewhat normal.

Canadian Forces in 🇺🇸 @cafinus · Dec 24 Every year on Christmas Eve in Holland, children gather to light candles on the graves of Canadian soldiers who never returned home.
COVID-19 stopped them from gathering this year, but it didn’t stop the lights. It didn’t stop remembrance.
They still see you.
We still see you.
