I'll be better by tomorrow. We've been the recipient of some luck recently as well. I was just set off by the writers. This week was pure amateur hour. Chavis hardly ever hits the ball. For writer to say that he's 'proven that he is part of the solution' is so mind-boggling stupid, it is hard to believe that a sentient human being could've written that. Ottavino is just Ottavino. He's had issues the past few years, with an incredible walk rate of 5.3/9. That said, he at least can get guys out. But a resurgence? On the basis of one good outing? I don't think so. That said, it is hard to take a loss where the win % was so high when Trout popped up. That was a tough loss to take. The ones where we lose the game in the 8th or 9th inning are always the toughest to take. Especially on a weakly hit bloop. Trust me when I say that I was not a person that you'd want to be around while the top of the 9th was happening.
FTR, I completely agree with you about Chavis and Ottavino.

Mastrodonato: Matt Barnes at fault in Red Sox’ loss, but Adam Ottavino’s struggles much more concerning Barnes had to bail Ottavino out in the 8th – again. Notes: Ottavino's resurgence; Barnes dealing

Ian BrowneThat's what I love about RS writers. Ian Browne thinks Ottavino is resurging and Mastrodonato thinks his struggles are concerning. Mastrodonato is right on this one. Otto is an issue.

Julian McWilliams @byjulianmack · 7h Michael Chavis had a whopping 51 percent chase rate heading into Sunday. It didn’t get any better vs. the Angels in the team’s series finale. Michael Chavis has proven he is part of the solution
By Rob BradfordThat's what I love about RS writers. McWilliams is concerned about Chavis' crazy chase rate, while Bradford thinks Chavis has proven he is part of the solution. It goes without saying that McWilliams is correct. The RS writers, except for Pete Abraham and Lou Merloni, are thoroughly inept.
