Jeff Blair @snjeffblair · 6h Gonna be dandy to get George Springer back for the soft part of the schedule when they're 10 games back. Front office needs to give Charlie some leverage arms here. Stop crying about bullpen injuries. Give the man at least one healthy arm he can count on.
It's possible that this front office really does think this team is closer to the 95 loss team it was two years ago than it is to being a legit contender. In that case, don't do anything. Let Manoah and Pearson develop at their own pace. Keep bringing in other people's rejects.
Aaaaaannnnd now Charlie Montoyo says Jordan Romano had a tight forearm today. Geezus. Another game with a limp arm on the active roster. Charlie says "I don't know where we go from here."

Rob Longley @longleysunsport · 6h Forearm tightness to Jordan Romano is even more bad news for a #Bluejays bullpen that is a full-fledged mess right now.
Trailing 5-1, it was the Red Sox largest comeback for a win this season. #Bluejays
The #Bluejays have lost four of their past five and are 10-12 vs. AL East opponents.
The #Bluejays can count on beating up on the Orioles all they want, but right now they are firmly entrenched in fourth, 7.5 games behind the AL East leading Rays and 6.5 behind the Red Sox.

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 7h The Blue Jays are up to 16 balls in play with exit velocities of 100+ mph. That's the third most in MLB this season. It is shocking that they only have 5 runs. There have been 9 games this year where teams had 15+ 100+ mph balls in play. Average runs: 9.7, high of 15, low of 6.
Update: 17 balls hit with exit velos of 100+ mph, tied for most in MLB this year.

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 6h In back-to-back games, the Red Sox have come back from 3- and 4-run deficits to win. Fenway now, maybe for the first time in a few years, suits them? Their 14-10 home record is the best of any AL East Team. They’re 16-6 vs the AL East, the best intradivision record in MLB.

Red Sox Notes @soxnotes · 8h Bobby Dalbec is 1 of only 11 Red Sox ever to hit 15+ HR in their first 75 MLB games.
His last 2 HR were estimated at 441 feet and 453 feet.
Josh Taylor since Apr. 30:
17 G 12.2 IP 0 R 7 H 15 K 4 BB 0.87 WHIP .163 AVG
In that time, he has lowered his season ERA from 9.72 to 3.86.

Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats · 9h Witnessed an absolute miracle with Richards somehow only allowing 1 run in that first inning.
Leadoff walk, four absolute missiles, 36 pitches.
Richards can't throw a competitive breaking ball, Jays have laid off all of them that are down and are teeing off on every fastball he throws in the zone. 9/10 batted balls have been hard hit.
