Pete Abraham @peteabe · 13m Trevor Story is legitimately pumped up to play as a member of the Red Sox at Fenway.
When the team got back from Detroit on Wednesday night he took a walk around the field and he had a big smile today.
"Going to be awesome," he said.

Pete Abraham @peteabe · 3m Bizarre play. The Sox lost a pop-up in shallow left and Buxton was injured sliding into second and left the game.

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 11m 8 pitches, 8 strikes, 2 strikeouts for Twins starter Joe Ryan in the first against the Red Sox. Tied for the third fewest first-inning pitches seen by the Red Sox since the start of 2021.
The last time a pitcher had a perfect first inning against the Red Sox while throwing nothing but strikes: 9/12/2019, when Blue Jays (!) starter Clay Buchholz had a perfect 7-pitch inning in which he threw all strikes to Betts, Holt, Bogaerts. There is ... a lot to process there.
