Pete Abraham @peteabe · 5h Aaron Boone got ejected. Still going after Jerry Layne
Welcome, robot friends. Stanton and Boone had reason to be angry. Those were some pretty bad calls. Not that I'm complaining.
Still, just say no to robot umps.

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 5h And in the ninth series, they split: The Red Sox beat the Yankees, 11-6. Their first non-loss of a series this year against the AL East. The Sox head to TB with a 1 1/2 game lead over the Rays for the top spot in the Wild Card race.
Cora: “We play in a tough division…We feel like we can play with anybody…We’ll keep working, regardless of the results.”
Bogaerts said that if anyone said they thought the Sox would be able to split the series after the first two games, “they’d be lying to you.” I was hoping for a split against the Yankees going into the series. After losing the first 2, I was hoping we'd be able to win 1 of the remaining 2 games. So no, I didn't think we'd be able to split after losing the first two. I'm glad the Sox once again proved me wrong.
