Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats · 42m There is almost a certain chance of a rainout Friday at Fenway, so while the Red Sox may do something funky with their rotation, they probably won't need to if they just let it play out.

Chris Cotillo @chriscotillo · 42m This is also true. It looks horrible. My morning tee time is also in jeopardy.
Tanner Houck’s triumphant return to the rotation could come Saturday. The Red Sox will need a starter that day against the White Sox.
I’m guessing:
@ MIN: Tuesday: Pérez Wednesday (2): Eovaldi / Rodriguez Thursday: Richards
vs. CWS: Friday: Pivetta Saturday: TBA (Houck?) Sunday: Pérez Monday: Eovaldi

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 36m Actually, come to think of it, Houck - optioned last Tuesday - has to stay down for 10 days unless it’s as 27th player for a DH or to replace a player on the IL. So, Houck can’t be called up for a spot start before Saturday.

Pete Abraham @peteabe · 47s * Eduard Bazardo's IG story shows him getting on a plane.
* The RHP is on the 40-man roster.
* Cora said the Sox would call up a pitcher for the extra player tomorrow and suggested it would be a right.
Wild guess: Bazardo is being called up tomorrow.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 22m Replying to @billkoch25 Cora said the weather at Fenway 'doesn't look to promising' on Friday for the series opener against the White Sox.
If there is a postponement, the #RedSox might not need a roster move for a starter
Cora said the #RedSox are likely to add a pitcher as the 27th player for Wednesday's doubleheader.
Ryan Weber and Colten Brewer are on the taxi squad for this trip.

Looks like an on-time start amid the snow flurries.
We are underway at Target Field. 33 degrees.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 37m The #RedSox and Twins will play a doubleheader on Wednesday, making up Monday's postponement.
Boston pitching rotation: Tuesday - Martin Perez Wednesday (Game 1) - Nathan Eovaldi Wednesday (Game 2) - Eduardo Rodriguez Thursday - Garrett Richards
Friday's weather determines what the #RedSox do in terms of rotation and player moves for the White Sox series at Fenway Park.
Nick Pivetta should start on regular rest, which would leave TBA for Saturday. If Friday is postponed, Pivetta could start Saturday with an extra day.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 4m Alex Verdugo has done that four or five times already this season, but not with snow flurries in the air.
That foul off the front foot hurts in the best of weather, let alone this extended winter at Target Field. #RedSox
