Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats · 8h Since leaving Chicago on July 3rd, the Red Sox have been outscored 111-56 in 130 innings played (14.5 games), all against TB, NYY, and TOR. The Sox have gone from having the 3rd best run differential in the AL to a -8 run differential in a very short time. I've never seen a team go through such extreme good and bad streaks as this team has.

I'm always surprised when a RS writer mentions something other than the obvious. The pitching has sucked, but that's an inevitable result of losing much of our rotation. But we've also only scored 25 runs in our last 8 games. A 31/0 K/W is minor league stuff. I have been far more frustrated by our offense this season than I've been with our pitching.

Christopher Smith @smittyonmlb · 8h Red Sox have 13 players on IL Xander Bogaerts says, "It’s tough but no one will feel sorry for you ... The opposing team, the team that’s looking at the schedule that sees the Red Sox are next, no sympathy. They don’t feel sorry. They feel like it’s a perfect situation for them"
"So we’ve got to go out with the lineup we have, the team that we have. We’re all major league players in the end. We’re all here for a reason. We can play. Today was a really good ballgame. It sucks that we lost.” This has not been the year for us as far as keeping players relatively healthy. Needless to say, Devers to the IL is a huge blow. That said, you can't make excuses. All teams deal with injuries. The Sox at least stayed in the game yesterday.

Game 96: Blue Jays at Red Sox lineups and notesBy Amin Touri Globe Staff,Updated July 24, 2022, 8 minutes ago The Red Sox can’t buy a series in the American League East. Another loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday dropped Boston to an 0-11-1 series record against divisional opponents — the lone split in a four-game set with the Yankees just before the All-Star break — and the Sox won’t get another chance at the AL East until mid-August. Related: ‘He’s the player who changed everything’: David Ortiz’s entry into Hall immortality has finally arrived Boston can still salvage something from a difficult weekend as rookie Brayan Bello takes the ball for a Sunday matinee, looking to get settled in the big leagues after getting roughed up twice by the Rays in his first two starts. The Sox lineup can take some confidence into the finale against Jays starter Ross Stripling, who has a 6.09 ERA in eight appearances against Boston. Stripling has had some success against the Sox this season, however, holding them to three runs over 10 innings of work in two previous starts this season. Lineups BLUE JAYS (52-43): 1. George Springer (R) CF 2. Vladimir Guerrero (R) 1B 3. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (R) DH 4. Bo Bichette (R) SS 5. Teoscar Hernandez (R) RF 6. Cavan Biggio (L) 2B 7. Matt Chapman (R) 3B 8. The Sox are 12-28 against AL East foes. Boston is 3-12 in its last 15 ... Rich Hill (left knee sprain) is slated to throw in the bullpen Sunday, while Matt Barnes (shoulder inflammation) is coming off a Friday rehab appearance ... Stripling has thrived since taking on a more permanent role in the starting rotation in early June, allowing more than two earned runs just once in his last eight outings ... Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats · 1h Martinez has 15 RBI in his last 40 games. Bogaerts has 11 RBI in his last 40 games. They are both having fine years overall, but their inability to be run producers this year has been the Number 1 strain on this team, at least up until the crippling injury situation.
RBI Percentage
J.D. Martinez 2018 19.8% 2019 16.8% 2021 17.1% 2022 12.1%
Xander Bogaerts 2018 19.7% 2019 19.0% 2021 14.2% 2022 11.3%

Red Sox Stats @redsoxstats · 26m The Red Sox 7-8-9 hitters have obviously been a real sore spot as well, hitting .216/.277/.335. But the end of Tampa's order is .201/.259/.333, Houston's .202/.270/.341, ATL and LAD were both terrible last season, Sox were .231/.292/.367 in 2018. That is just not a major prob.

Christopher Smith @smittyonmlb · 2m Josh Winckowski likely will start for the Red Sox on Tuesday. Big day as college friend @mattissitting will be attending as a fan.
Christian Arroyo (left groin strain) faced Rich Hill Friday in a sim game. "Still feeling it a little bit," Cora said. "He ran today." The Red Sox hoped for him to start a rehab assignment today (DH). "But we delayed it," Cora said. "Hopefully, early in the week he can go"
"Try to get him back at the end of the week."
J.D. Martinez probably will hit during the game and might be available later on, Cora said.
Trevor Story has begun swinging the bat.

Christopher Smith @smittyonmlb · 2m Red Sox's Alex Cora on Trevor Story: “He swung today. A lot better. So we’ll see how he reacts during the day and hopefully at some point this week he’ll be OK. But he swung today. He swung early. So things are trending in the right direction.”

Thank god the HOF induction will be on looking forward of course to Papi Jim Kaat's speech should be a good one too, and Olivia...
Not expecting to win today hell I would like to see some payback over Manoah barking at players yesterday but doubtful the Stats team knows the reason why the first Jays player should wear a ball on the back
