Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 6m Ottavino on the #RedSox bullpen -- 'We have a good group down there. We're all trying to support each there and protect each other when we come in.'
Ottavino -- 'I think I have the best stuff I've ever had right now. Better than at any other time.'
'I've got more weapons than I had before. I'm throwing harder than I have in four or five years. I'm smarter. I have more experience.' #RedSox
Ottavino said he's using more of his four-seamer and curveball this season. He cited Jason Varitek as one of the #RedSox staff members pushing him to use different pitches in games after working on them during the offseason.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 20m Alex Cora joining us on Zoom. #RedSox
Cora on dropping Kiké Hernandez in the lineup -- 'Danny is swinging the bat well.'
'With this matchup, it was good to put Danny there.'
'Sometimes you've got to breathe. Hitting him seventh, he'll see the pitcher for one inning or from a different perspective.' #RedSox
Cora said Ryan Brasier has been discharged from a Florida hospital. He was under observation after being hit in the head by a line drive in a Friday simulated game.
Cora said Brasier has 'a big cut' over his right ear. #RedSox
Updated #RedSox lineup, Game 58 -- Santana DH Verdugo LF Bogaerts SS Devers 3B Renfroe RF Gonzalez 2B Hernández CF Vázquez C Dalbec 1B Rodriguez SP
J.D. Martinez has been scratched.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 10m Cora on the leadoff spot -- 'We want somebody who can get on base or somebody who can drive the ball. We want to set the tempo.' #RedSox
Cora said he won't hit Martinez second at any point. He's not comfortable there and the lineup isn't 'as athletic' as he would like it to be.
The #RedSox are unlikely to change 2-5 in the order.
Cora on the leadoff spot -- 'We want somebody who can get on base or somebody who can drive the ball. We want to set the tempo.' #RedSox
Cora said Rodriguez appeared to find his cutter in his last outing. Now they're hoping he can find the changeup against the Yankees tonight. #RedSox
Cora on Ottavino -- 'He's just that good. We saw him in '19 and he was outstanding against us. We joked when we traded for him the first guy I called was J.D. (Martinez).'
'His stuff is playing better than two years ago, three years ago.' #RedSox
Cora on Ottavino -- 'What he brings to the clubhouse is very important. We have some young guys in that bullpen.'
'I don't want to say he's another coach, because he's going to pitch for a long, long time. But he's another voice.' #RedSox

IMHO The Line Up should be heavy at the top, not dissing on the other players but I want these 4 first.
Verdugo, Xander Bogaerts, Martinez, and Rafael Devers
Throw Renfoe in next, and then let it flow from there......but those 4 should be there every game.

(thing u dont notice when you are pickled all the time) Congrats. One of the many, many things I like about getting older, is that I have a greater awareness, and therefore, a greater appreciation of the things around me. I can't really run anymore, but I still try. Just the feel of the sweat on my face, as crazy as it sounds, feels good. There are a lot of great things available for us in this world. We just need to kind of set our l/t goals and stay on the path. So are you doing legal stuff now (if my memory still works)?
