As much as I enjoyed the HR, I enjoyed the fact that he went the other way with the pitch. Way too many guys out there try to pull everything.

Thank god that inning is over That's the problem with guys like Godley. Without a real out pitch, the other team can single you to death.

Alex Speier @alexspeier · 13m Trea Turner has 10 hits against the Red Sox this weekend. Ridiculous. That's the most by any player in a 3-game series vs the Sox since '99 (Knoblauch had 10), and has only been passed twice, both before the Great Depression. (Marty McManus, 11 in 1929; Sam Rice (11 in 1924.)
Bobby Dalbec shows huge all-fields power, going deep down the RF line in his second career plate appearance. It cleared by plenty down the RF line - and was a mis-hit.

That's the thing that a lot of big kids don't understand. When you have that type of power, you need to threaten to take the pitcher out in any direction. I don't keep track, but it feels like half of Verdudo's hits are oppo.

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 1m Josh Harrison to deep left-center. It's 8-3 #RedSox in the 4th. This lead doesn't feel all that safe.

I am happy with all the trades want Bloom to keep going anyone not named Xander, Devers or Veduga should be in play. I like it. If there was one thing I'd be critical of in the past, is that we didn't go all-in tanking at the trade deadline. Not that we had that many opportunities, but if you have a bad team, make that your strength. If Bloom keeps going, by this time next week, half our top-20 prospects might be new. A few more trades, and we could have a top-15 system.

A lot of this gets criticized as service manipulation, and some of it is, but I'd rather have these guys fixing their issues in the minors.

He is getting flak on twitter by a few saying it should be pitching coming back but jesus, he got a pitching chip for Workman deal and GMs hold onto pitching prospects like their own children
Like I said in the Boston Red Sox news thread, Bloom said they need a wave of prospects they get some IF/ OF kids now, means they can focus on pitching when it comes to draft and international draft

Bill Koch @billkoch25 · 41s Xander Bogaerts credited with a base hit. Assist goes to the sun. Victor Robles never saw it. #RedSox

Christopher Smith @smittyonmlb 7m RT @redsoxstats: Dalbec's homer had a 43 degree launch angle. No RHH had done that to the opposite field at Fenway in 6 seasons of hit tracking.
